AEM On-Prem vs AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) vs Edge Delivery: What's Best for Your Workloads?

Jun 23, 8:00 – 11:00 PM (UTC)

AEMUG - Midwest Chapter

Adobe now has 3 very different and very powerful experience platforms on offer. Which is the best for you workloads? What does the new AEM 6.5 LTS offer, and how does it differ from AEM as a Cloud Service? Is Edge Delivery Services a viable option to migrate to, and what are the trade-offs? Can EDS offer the same power as AEM 6.5 when it comes to localization & rollout of complex sites?

About this event

Now that Adobe has 3 very-different and powerful experience platforms on-offer at the same time, which is appropriate for your workloads and personnel?  We tackle some of the hard questions with Adobe's new products at our first AEM Mid-West User Group meeting in Columbus, Ohio!

Join us at 4pm on Monday June 23rd for a lively discussion of the following topics - all are invited!

  • What does the new AEM 6.5 LTS offer, and is it still a good idea to stay on AEM 6.5 in 2025?

    • What's the real scoop on its end-of-life plans?

  • How does AEM 6.5 LTS differ from AEM as a Cloud Service?

  • Is Edge Delivery Services a viable option to migrate to, and what are the trade-offs?

  • Can Edge Delivery Services offer the same power and flexibility as AEM 6.5 when it comes to localization & rollout of complex sites?

  • Are all of Adobe's new AI products such as Site Optimizer, Experience Catalyst, and practical features like Generate Variations available for all of their AEM/EDS products, or only some of them?

  • Be one of the first to see Document Authoring and it's new translation features.

  • Bring your question!

Veteran AEM Architect and 2024/2025 AEM Champion Tad Reeves will be presenting in a cozy in-person venue.  The recording of the presentation itself will be online after the meetup, but is not planned to be streamed live at this time due to the challenges of running a hybrid conference.

We can't wait to see you in Columbus!  Bring any technical or business users of AEM, or even users of other CMS systems who are evaluating AEM as a destination platform.
